NOPA hosts Iraqi weightlifting coaches from 25 to 27 January
Some 30 Iraqi weightlifting coaches participate in specified sport courses which are organized by NOPA. The courses consist of Sport Management, Physiology, Weightlifting Biomechanics, Sport Nutrition, Sport Medicine in Weightlifting and Anti-Doping.

The closing ceremony of the 4th Sport and Art Contest and Exhibition organized on 15 Dec. 2008 in NOPA.

Prof. Hoang Vinh Giang, OCA Vice President and Secretary General of NOC of Vietnam visited Dr. Hamidi in National Olympic and Paralympic Academy of I.R.IRAN.
Dr. Hamidi introduced the different center of NOPA as well as their activities and services which are provided for national teams to participate in National, International, Regional events. He also explained about the joint camps and the other sports and scientific programs which were organized in NOPA.

The 4th edition of Sport and Art Contest and Exhibition was inaugurated on 10 December 2008.
This year Contest and Exhibition has been opened in the presence of Taekwondo gold medal winner in the Men"s 80-kg Category in the Beijing Olympic Games, Hadi Saei, weightlifting gold medal winner in the Men`s 60-kg category in the Beijing Paralympic Games, Hamzeh Mohammadi, owner of the IOC diploma for the 7th place in the 2008 Olympic Sport and Art Contest ,Mohammad Reza Yazdi, Iranian Judo champion, Mahmoud Miran who has drew unforgettable paintings and presents them in this exhibition, Iranian high-ranking sport officials and the other artists and participants.

NOPA and Iraqi Olympic Academy sign a Co-operative Agreement
Tehran, Iran- The National Olympic and Paralympic Academy of I.R.Iran (NOPA) and the Iraqi Olympic Academy (IOA) signed a co-operative agreement to further develop the cooperation in the area of sport, education, culture and sports science between the two bodies.

86 students began their studies in I.R.Iran National Olympic Academy
In the 1st edition of the educational courses in which more than one thousand candidates enrolled, 86 persons were selected following written tests and interviewsBased on this report, 21 students for Sports Nutrition Training,40 for Physical Fitness Training and 25 students for Managers of Sports Events attend classes.

Saei clinched the Olympic Games Gold Medal
The Iranian experienced taekwondo athlete defeated his Italian rival, Mr. Manora Sarminto 6-4 to become the champion of the -80 kg in 2008 Beijing Olympic Games He was 4 points behind, nevertheless, he managed to be the winner of the final bout enjoying his tact and experience.

Bronze medal of the Beijing Olympic Games for Morad Mohammadi
During the quarter final bout of the F.S.wrestling between Mr. Morad Mohammadi of Iran and Salim Khan Hosseinov of Azerbaijan, the Iranian wrestler took the lead and finished both times 5 to 1 to be recognized as the bronze medal winner of 60 kg category and the 1st medal-winner of the Iranian delegation.

The 4th Olympic and Paralympic Sport and Literature Contest
The 4th edition of Olympic and Paralympic Sport and Literature Contest ended on 19th July 2009 in National Olympic and Paralympic Academy of I.R.Iran. This event was very successful in terms of participation from all across the country, more than 700 works were received in 3 categories: 1- under 12 years old 2- between 12-18 years old 3- above 18 years old.
